The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Denise Zimmerman-Collins can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Patricia Newcomer

I met Denise in 1989 when I started working in the Guidance Department at Garden Spot High School in New Holland, Pennsylvania. She was such fun to be around and always smiling. Compassion was built into her soul. She loved nature and all animals. Particularly dogs and cats. She had 8 cats when I first met her and she kept trying to convince me to get one. She kept pushing, so when one of the teachers at the school came into a litter of kittens I ultimately caved in. So glad I did! 😻 Thanks to Deni, my husband and I adopted two adorable little black beauties. I vividly remember the day when I first saw them....running around her office! I was hooked! 😻😻 I owe my passion for kitties to her. I am now a Crazy Cat Lady thanks to this sweet lady! I really missed her when she retired and moved to Arizona. I know how much she struggled to keep going when she became ill. It is so tragic that she lost her courageous battle. I pray that she is now at peace and perhaps in some divine way knows how many people she left behind who truly cared about her. ❤️❤️
