May your family find peace and comfort in these coming days just before Christmas. In our “growing up”, it is the times of our youth that seem to be the most clear to us. Donna was in my 3rd grade class and in my 4th grade class with Mrs. Heinrich. In 5th grade we were together in Mrs. Thompson’s class in the Fall and then we had Mrs. Longsbury in the Spring. Even in 5th grade, Mrs. Longsbury would read to us after recess as we laid our heads down to rest. I don’t think 5th graders have that care these days. Ours was a simple time. Donna loved her light blue dress with the sash that tied in the back and she, also, loved to sing and hum. Her favorite song in the 4th grade was “My Guy”. She hummed it all the time in class and walking home from school. One thing about Donna…she was devoted to her brothers. Her older brother Ted was always there … he was their “protector”. There was a bond between her twin Donald that all twins share and those of us who wander the world without this closeness wonder what it would be like to have what they had. They were one of the tightest families on our street of Hialeah so long ago and almost 7 decades now. May Donna linger a little longer around your family with her sweet spirit to hover over you all during this heartfelt time of Christmas.

I am so sorry for your loss. There is a place where we can find comfort. In 1 Corinthians 1:3-4 it says that the “God of all comfort” understands what we are going through in these times. Our God does provide comfort by providing promises and that in Job 14:14-15 he is eager to fulfill his promises.
