Obituary for Ronald Dale Baker

Ronald “Ronnie” Dale Baker, 60 years old of Houston, Texas passed away on March 06, 2019 in Kingwood, Texas. The memorial service will be held on March 16, 2019 at Grand Parkway Baptist Church in Richmond, Texas.

Ronnie was born on September 10, 1958 in Victoria, Texas to Sylvia Harriett Baker and Robert Don Baker. He married Natalie Jozwiak in 1991 and became the father of 3 children. His children remember him as a proud role model who strongly encouraged them to pursue their goals.

Ronnie was accomplished at anything he tried his hand at and was a loving mentor to everyone. He was a boisterous individual who loved making people laugh and who was passionate about living as full of a life as possible. Some of Ronnie’s accomplishments include traveling and hunting across the U.S., water skiing, skydiving, tending to his gardens, making friends with everyone, and giving his children the best life possible and the very best of himself.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his grandparents Obbie and Donnie Griffin, mother Sylvia Speer, father Robert Don Baker, step father Teag Speer, Aunt June Griffin, Uncle Maurice Shenkir, Cousins Kenneth Wayne Griffin Jr, Lacy and Bridgett Griffin and Trevor Shenkir, as well as many other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Ronnie is survived by his son Obbie Baker, daughters Michelle Moreno and Rebecca White, his grandchildren Kiera, Ely and Rex, his siblings, Debra Sue Harwell and husband Gerald, Donald Gayle Baker and wife Debbie, Cynthia Lynne Hoffart and husband Glen as well as fifteen nieces, nephews and greats, his Aunt Elaine Shenkir, Uncle Kenneth Wayne, Aunt Donna Griffin, Uncle Russell Griffin, and Aunt Mary Griffin and many loving cousins.

Ronnie was a lifelong friend to many, he never met a stranger, his legacy will be carried on in the form of long stories of love and laughter and the image of his beaming smile and loud crazy phrases.

A memorial service and celebration of life is scheduled for March 16th, noon at Grand Parkway Baptist with a lunch reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ronnie’s life. The family would like to thank Houston Healthcare Kingwood neurology staff for their intensive care and attention to our father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, Ronnie Baker.
