Michael Emerson Rodgers, “Chula”, passed away in Houston, Texas on September 24, 2019 at the age of 67 due to heart complications. The stories I could tell.... but I won't because most folks wouldn't believe them anyway. We sure had fun. We will again! Man I miss you brother.

To a man that I had the honor to be a brother too. Oh the memories I will always have because you were in my life. I will sadly miss the calls we made to each other and the discussions we had about football each week. One of your passions late in life was music. I am glad I got to learn Texas Style music through your love of George Strait and especially Cody Jinks. To Dwayne and Dylan always remember Uncle George is here for you anytime you need to talk. Rest in peace my brother for you are no longer in pain. Hug Mom and Charleen for me. Until we meet again, I will cherish our times we shared together.

Mr. Mike was such a great guy. He was always so helpful when I had questions about softball. We emailed each other the week before his passing and was looking forward to seeing him at the tournament that weekend. He will truly be missed.

Dearest brother I will miss our phone calls everyday. You always had perfect timing on getting me eating or napping and you got such a kick out of that and so did I. Your smile you always gave everyone and the love you shared with so many will be missed always. Until we meet again Mike, you will always be in my heart and thoughts. Love you, Donna

I'm still in disbelief... it wasnt time yet...not by my clock...but our ways are not Gods ways and I know Gods ways are good.... now my husband will have to meet him in Heaven and we will see if Mike ask him in front of Jesus about how he and I could not have sex while he is locked up!!! Oh how he messed with me about that! I miss him...softball isnt the same..I know he has trusted the perfect guy (Bart) with his lifes work and it will thrive...just a bit sad tho....man Mike touched my life...like I cant even explain:( I'm honored to know him and call him boss, mentor and friend...
