Alejandro Moreno, 70, of Houston, Texas passed away Monday, April 11, 2016 after a hard fought battle with cancer. Alejandro was born in Medellin, Colombia to Ligia Lopera Vasquez and Alejandro Moreno Londono. Alejandro came to the United States from Colombia in 1968. He arrived in Houston in November of 1974 and was a Machinist by trade. Alejandro Moreno is survived by his wife Adriana Moreno, Daughter Cindy Contreras (Tony) and Son Alejandro Moreno (Elvia). Brother Joaquin Guillermo Moreno (Maria Teresa), Grandchildren Alyssa and Adrian Contreras, Hannah, Hunter, Nicholas and Isaac Moreno and many nieces and nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother Ligia and his father Alejandro. Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 18, 2016 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 527 S Houston Ave, Humble, TX 77338, 9:30 am -10:30 am - Eulogy/Sharing of Memories, 11:00 am - Funeral Mass and Reception immediately following in the Family Life Center The family would like to thank family and friends for their support during Alejandro's illness. Special thanks to his brother Joaquin Guillermo and sister-in-law Maria Teresa, who, without their help, we could not have taken such good care of him. The family would also like to thank the entire staff at Houston Hospice for their care and support, including, but not limited to, his nurse Janelle.
