Ang Sun Lee

Ang Sun Lee, also known as Shalynn or Sun Lee passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 16th, 2024 surrounded by all her loved ones, holding her and laughing with her until her last breath. Shalynn was born in Kota Bharu, Malaysia, got married to her husband, Eng lock for 49 years and have 2 most loving children, Justin and Jenna. She and her husband then moved to Houston, Texas in 2022 and lives with her son, daughter in law, Ee Von and 2 beautiful grandchildren, Trevor and Elisheva.

Shalynn always had a passion in dancing and has a flair for it. She grew up wanting to be a ballet dancer, however ended up in a fashion and teaching career. Despite that, she didn’t forget her dreams, started by just agreeing to lead a line dancing class in the neighborhood community and later taught line dancing in an international school.

Shalynn always felt blessed to have a very close knit family. Her children were the light of her life. She enjoyed all family gatherings and family trips, loved listening to her son’s comical jokes and treasured spending time with her daughter exploring places, doing silly things together and having heart to heart conversation. Shalynn will be remembered for her devotion to her family and her loving and caring nature to family and friends. She was strong battling with cancer until the last moment, but never stopped caring for those in need and always selflessly praying for others. She believes “If you want something, do your best and make it a success”. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, family togetherness and determination that her family will carry forward in her name.

As per her wishes, Shalynn will be cremated. A private family viewing will be held in Integrity Funeral Care on Tuesday, June 25th 2024, followed by a cremation viewing the following day and a small committal service will be held among closed family members in Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery on Thursday June, 27th 2024. Shalynn will be deeply missed and will forever be in our hearts. We love you lots. Rest in peace.
