February 04, 1988 - June 28, 2020

This is the story of Annette Marie Gongora. Annette was a wonderful woman that was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished. Our "Annette-ita," as she was called by her mother; was an amazing mother, fiancé, daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, aunt, and friend.
Annette's story starts on February 04, 1988, the youngest of 3 children to Maria De Jesus and Simon Gongora. Annette was born in Galveston, Texas. Annette lived in Texas City where she spent her childhood, grew up, and made many lifelong friends. Texas City is where she would meet the love of her life, Joseph Blackburn. Annette and Joseph had a whirlwind romance and dated for 10 years.
Annette and Joseph were two peas in a pod. They were a great match and quickly realized they were always in sync. They would often find themselves finishing one another's sentences. Annette loved to spend hours at Texas City's Bay Street Park. She and Joseph would walk the trails, look out into the water and admire the wildlife. It was under the parks covered pavilion where Joseph proposed to Annette. She happily accepted and they both eagerly looked forward to the rest of their lives together.
In 2011, they welcomed their son Gavin. He was perfect and became the apple of their eye. In 2016, Annette and Joseph completed their perfect little family by welcoming Addilynn. She quickly stole their hearts and enriched their lives with pure happiness.
Annette adored her family and there was no denying that. If there was anywhere in the worlds Annette loved to be, it was with her family.
Loved ones that cleared the path for Annette are her fiancé Joseph Blackburn, mother Maria Gongora, father Simon Gongora Sr. her sister Margarita and husband Shawn Harvey, brother Simon Gongora Jr. and wife Amy, her children's great-grandfather Joseph Pizzuto, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Loved ones that will miss Annette until they meet again are her grandparents, Jose and Ofelia Marquez; step-grandmother, Conception Gongora, and her children's great-grandmother Mary Pizzuto.
And so, the story goes on until we see our beautiful Annette again. We love you and miss you.
