Barbara Ione (Bunny) McKinley Robie, 76, passed away in Georgetown, TX on December 7, 2017. She was born in Corpus Christi, TX on April 18, 1941 to Robert Joseph and Maude Pearl (Scarlett) Bolin McKinley. She grew up in Austin and graduated from A. N. McCallum High School in 1959, where she was head sportswriter for the school's student newspaper. She attended The University of Texas as a journalism major. Barbara married James Evertt Robie, USAF, in 1960, and made a home for him and their growing family at various Air Force posts throughout the US during their years together. She moved to Houston in 1968, where she had a long career with Continental Airlines as a trainer and supervisor in its reservations and customer service center. She retired from Continental in 2007. She moved to Georgetown in December 2016, where she shared a home with her older daughter Scarlett. She is survived by her two beloved daughters, Scarlett Elizabeth Robie Taylor of Georgetown and Margaret Austin Robie Lutes of Austin and her husband Daniel Lutes, as well as by five grandchildren, Robert and Sarah Taylor, and Louis, Joseph, and Samuel Lutes, and two great-grandchildren, Kaydence Elaine and Mina-Roze Taylor. She is also survived by her brothers, Georgetown residents Byron Bolin McKinley and his wife Sandra, as well as Robert Charles McKinley and his wife Melanie, and Michael Patrick McKinley all of Austin. She also leaves behind her cherished nieces Melissa McKinley, Mary McKinley Poag, and Lauren McKinley, and nephew Michael David McKinley, and many, many dear friends. At her request, there will be no funeral or memorial services. Barbara's final wish was simply, "If you want to remember me, please do an act of kindness on my behalf and be at peace."
