Bettye Henry

Bettye Jo Smith (Wilhite) Henry, 81, of Houston, TX passed away January 25, 2018. Bettye was born in Houston, TX to Leo and Inez Smith on January 6, 1937. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Inez Smith, husband Robert M. Henry, sister Linda Smith Preston, daughter Lauren R. Rumfield and great grandson Casey Burleson. Bettye is survived by her daughter Debra (Debbie) J. Norris, husband Clayton W. Norris, daughter Katherine K. James, husband S. Lee James, Grandchildren, Michael Burleson, Jennifer Murray, Jamie Spyker, Jason Murray, Christopher James, Jessica Armstrong and Kristin Zeto and 11 great grandchildren. Bettye spent over 30 years working in the oil industry and later in life worked along side her husband building custom homes. She loved to garden and travel. Closest to her heart were her family of whom she was so very proud of each one. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
