Brian Milmo

February 20, 1977 — March 19, 2016

Brian James Milmo 39, of Houston, was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on February 20, 1977. He was the beloved son of Walter James Milmo and Wynell Ayres Scardino. Brian grew up in a missionary family who served in Costa Rica and Orsorno, Chile. He graduated from Friendswood High School in 1996. Following high school, Brian enlisted in the Army Reserves and served his country well for twelve years. He earned a degree in political science at the University of North Texas. Brian moved back to Houston to be surrounded by his community of friends whom he loved dearly. He was a kind soul who could not abide with injustice. Milmo lived, laughed and loved well. He enriched the lives of those who knew him. He is survived by his father, Walter Milmo and wife Linda Milmo of Friendswood, his mother, Wynell Ayres Scardino and husband Norman Scardino of Spring, his older sisters Tiffany Madrid and husband Stephen Madrid of Ft. Worth, Shelly Milmo Robbins of Denton and his younger brother John Addison Milmo and wife Caitlin Milmo of Denton, and his lovely girlfriend, Kim Harvey of Houston. He played, laughed and mischievously taught many things to his nephews Seth and Eli Madrid, Bryce Addison Milmo and his nieces Sofia Madrid, Aliah and Eliana Robbins, and Evelyn Milmo. Including his family, the loss of Brian is felt by his countless friends. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Friendswood, Texas (111 E. Heritage, Friendswood, TX 77546).
