Houston - Carolyn Promisel, a long-time resident of the Houston area, died Saturday the 20th of July at Baylor St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in 1944 in Waco, TX, Carolyn was a survivor and a fighter who did her best to make the most of the gifts and challenges she was given.
Carolyn loved crafting jewelry, making clothes, good food, good music and reading. She had a laugh that would grab your attention.
She is survived by her brother, Steve Baghott, daughter Cheryl Elizabeth Sveter Lawson, sons Jason and Brad Sveter, daughter in-law Esther Sveter, grandsons Nate and Jacob Sveter and former husband Robert Louis Sveter Jr.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Jade Buddha Temple 6969 Westbranch Dr, Houston, TX 77072.
A service will be held for her at the Jade Buddha Temple in the Kwan Yin hall on Sunday, July 28, promptly at 9:30 am.
