Charles John Trovato

Charlie never met a stranger. He loved people, animals, sports, building things, gardening, and cooking. He was the first to offer help or to cook a meal for anyone in need. Charlie battled addiction for many years but in between, there were so many good times. He wanted everyone to laugh, and his own laughter was infectious. He had a huge smile and an even bigger heart. He was a father, a husband, a son, a brother, and a friend.  

Charlie is preceded in death by his father, Philip Arthur Trovato, Sr., mother, Marion Bullock Trovato, brother, Robert Philip Trovato, and brother-in-law, Richard “Dick” Green. Charlie is survived by his two children, Samantha Trovato Laney (Brad), and Joseph Phillip Trovato, his grandchildren, Isabella Lynn Thomas, Walker James Laney, Scarlett Jo Laney; his sisters, Leonarda Trovato Gagliardo (Frank), Pamela Cox Trovato Robinson (Dude), Donna Cox Green, Jan-Renee Trovato Stidham, (Joseph), and brothers, Philip Arthur Trovato, Jr., Gerald Cox; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023, at 10:00 AM at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Houston, Texas.
