Christine Peetz

It is with deepest regret that the family of Christine "Teena" Lorraine Peetz, age 70 of Houston, Texas announce her death. Teena lost her battle with cancer on October 5th, 2018, at Memorial Herman Southwest Hospital.

Teena was born on November 14th, 1947, in Brooklyn, New York, to Stella Teresa Blazewicz and William Joseph Dietz. She graduated from Washington Irving High School in 1965 and moved to Houston in 1983. Teena retired from Houston Independent School District in 2016 after 21 years of services.


Surviving is one son James Peetz, and four daughters, Cynthia "Cindy" Umanzor (Peetz), Melinda "Mindy" Perez (Peetz), April Russett (Peetz) and Amanda Gonzalez. Also surviving is one sister, Loretta Dietz of Pleasant Mount, Pennsylvania, fourteen grandchildren: Samantha Umanzor, Jose "Nini" Umanzor, Lisa Perez, Christina Umanzor, Christine Peetz, Ashley Perez, James Peetz Jr., Alexandra Umanzor, Lexus Umanzor, Jonathan Hanson, Stephen Hanson, Elizabeth Hanson, Brooklyn Peetz and Bailey Peetz. In addition, she is survived by five great-grandchildren: Brayson Umanzor, Levi Perez, Liam Benedict, Lily Perez and Jude Benedict. She is also survived by niece, Yvonne Bachmore and nephew, Joseph Bogdanski

Teena was predeceased in death by her parents, sister, Donna Dietz, son, Jeremiah Peetz and daughters Christine Peetz Jr. and Lisa Peetz.
