Danny Grappe

Danny Ray Grappe was born on November 6, 1980 to Bobby and Peggy Grappe in Pasadena, TX. Danny Ray was the youngest of six children and was full of life. He played many sports, but his favorite was baseball. He met his soul mate in confirmation class at St. Pius, once they started talking and dating, they became inseparable. They attended school banquets, homecoming, and prom together. He graduated from Pasadena High School in 2000 and married, Angelica, on July 26, 2003.

Danny Ray was also a father of two beautiful children, Hailee and Austin. They were his pride and joy, and he supported them in everything they did whether it was as a parent or as a coach. He shared his love of sports with the family by taking them to the Texans, Rockets, and Astros games. It was not uncommon for him to load up the car and take a family trip to San Antonio or Natchitoches. He wanted them to experience life, and he never missed a family gathering or party.

Danny Ray’s other true love was fishing. He cherished every trip to the lake and Arkansas. He was the first to the boat, and he never wanted to leave. Sadly, Danny Ray was the one who got away. He departed this life on May 29, 2021 with Angelica by his side. He truly will be missed as a husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, but the one life lesson he taught us is to live each day to the fullest.
