Delores Ann Whitmire

Delores Ann Whitmire, 88, of Houston, Texas went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2024. She was born on May 26, 1936 in Pampa, Texas to Leonard and Mary Ellen McAnally. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1954. She worked for several years at Western Electric and then 24 years at McKesson Chemicals until her retirement. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her step-father Richard Haines; her husband John Whitmire, son Richard Nunn; step-sons Johnnie Whitmire and Mark Whitmire; brother Tommy McAnally, sister-in-law Sandra McAnally and brother Jerry McAnally. 

She is survived by daughters, Gail Dendy (Keith); Valorie Anderson (Ray); and Kelly Dunne; step-daughter Penny Lambright and step-son Russell Whitmire; her sister-in-law Frances McAnally; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Services will be held at Glad Tidings Holiness Church, 11135 Homestead Rd, Houston, TX 77016 on Dec. 14, 2024. Viewing from 10 – 11 am and services are at 11 am. Flowers need to be sent to funeral home, Integrity Funeral Care, 3915 Dacoma St, Suite E, Houston, TX 77092, 713-344-0764.
