Diana Moore Fickinger

Diana Lea Moore Fickinger, age 71, passed away on February 25, 2025, in Katy, Texas surrounded by her family. She was born on October 29, 1953, in Hugoton, Kansas where she was raised by her parents Perry Eldo Moore and Donna Lee Irwin Moore. Her family eventually moved to Midland, Texas where she graduated from Robert E Lee High School in 1971. After graduation she attended school at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. In 1974 she married the love of her life, Gary Fickinger, and they lived in Midland, Texas where their two children were born. They later moved to Katy, Texas.

Diana worked in the petroleum industry as a landman. She worked for Texas Oil & Gas, Banner Petroleum and retired from ExxonMobil in 2014 in Houston, Texas. She enjoyed her career and was loved and respected by her co-workers. While living and raising her family in Katy, she volunteered her time with the Girl Scouts, 4H, FFA, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

Upon retirement, Diana enjoyed traveling with her husband Gary in their motorhome. They traveled the nation sightseeing, visiting friends and attending rallies with the Newmar Motorhome club in which she volunteered. She also helped to organize and plan her 50th high school reunion.

Diana loved camping, boating, crafting, playing games and spending time with loved ones. Although, her greatest love was her family, and she spent her life loving and caring for everyone around. Diana’s family loved her dearly and will miss her loyalty, steadfast support, encouragement, wisdom, strength, determination, love and kindness.

Diana is survived by her husband of 51 years Gary E Fickinger of Katy, Texas, son Greg E Fickinger (wife Christina) of Centerville, Texas and daughter Kristina Fickinger Toole (husband Bryan) of Bellville, Texas. Diana’s grandchildren are Mason and Scott Fickinger and Max and Paige Toole. As well as her two sisters Sheri Moore Sacco of Katy, Texas and Janet Moore Harper of Magnolia, Texas.
