Earnest Bell Jr., known affectionately as Tieso passed away on December 23, 2024, in Houston, TX, at the age of 70. He was born on August 7, 1954, in Houston, TX marking the beginning of a life that touched the hearts of many.

Earnest was born to Earnest Bell Sr. and Catherine Lee. He is preceded in death by his parents, father Arthur Shelvin, mother Mary L. Shelvin, Grandfather, Earl Perrow Sr. and Grandmother Reva Perrow ,Great Aunt Margaret Andrews (Uncle Lonzel Andrews), and Great Aunt Lonnie Haynes. In addition, uncles Earl Perrow Jr. (Mary Perrow) and Joseph Perrow. Four siblings, Brenda Gail Davis, Joseph Earl Shelvin, Dimple Odom, and Lonzel Andrews Jr.

A devoted father, son, and brother, Earnest left a lasting impact on all who knew him. He is survived by his daughter Orlesher Earniece Bell, former wife Debra Lafawn Davis Bell. Siblings Henry Lee Shelvin Sr., Reva Jean Osoro, and Johnnie Ellis Bell (Deatrice Bell). A Host of nephews, nieces, and cousins. A special friend, Diane Davis and family from Dallas, TX.

Earnest received his education from Robert E. Lee High School before serving in the US Navy in 1973.

Earnest's dedication to family and friends truly set him apart. His legacy will be remembered not only through his service and achievements but through the love and memories he shared with those around him. “He was a happy, confident, vibrant man with many gifts”, stated by his niece Tye Turner.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Jeanetta Andrews for her support during Earnest's final year of life. In addition, Holy Temple Deliverance Church for all the love and support you have given the Bell family.

In the hearts of all who knew him, Earnest Bell Jr., or Tieso, will forever be remembered as a beloved father, son, brother, uncle and friend. His spirit lives on in the hearts of those he touched, and his memory will continue to be a source of comfort and inspiration.
