Florence Bernice Skarzynski July 1, 1921 - November 21, 2016 Florence "Flo" Bernice Rieckermann Skarzynski, 95, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, November 21, 2016 at Clayton Oaks Living in Richmond, Texas. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be on November 28, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a luncheon at Cornerstone Community Bible Church in Rosenberg, Texas. Pastor Brent Burckart will officiate the service. Flo was born on July 1, 1921 to William and Mary Rieckermann in Chicago, Illinois. She is preceded in death by her parents and 6 siblings: Ernest, Clara, Gertrude, Raymond, Dolores & Lorraine; and her husband of 67 years, Norman Skarzynski . Flo is survived by her son, James Skarzynski and wife, Carolyn of Richmond, Texas, 3 grandchildren, Michelle Hadjuk and husband, Keith of Bartlett, Illinois, Scott Skarzynski of DeKalb, Illinois, Jeffrey Skarzynski of Dallas, Texas; great-granddaughters, Megan and Kaylin Hadjuk; along with other relatives and friends. A special thanks to her caregivers at Clayton Oaks Living, Soledad Tovar, Marcia Charles' Angel Care and Houston Hospice. Flo was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved reading, listening to talk radio, watching TV and movies, fishing, gardening and volunteering as a "Pink Lady" at Polly Ryon Hospital (now Oakbend). In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Cornerstone Community Bible Church 6701 FM 762 Rosenberg, Texas 77469. Condolences and tributes may be posted on www.integrityfuneral.com.
