George also met and fell in love with Carolyn (Brooks) Seckfort. They had two daughters and eventually moved to Texas due to the work he did for Ivey Mechanical. It was here he settled and lived from 1981 until 2021, although, the job did have him moving around throughout the years, his home base was always Houston and Alabama. After retirement, George was devoted to being around the grandkids and taking trips to the casino.
