Greg A. Everts passed away peacefully surrounded by family with the sounds of Carry on Wayward Son by Kansas, on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at the age of 51. Greg was born on January 8, 1968, to James Ira Everts and Virginia Carolyn Smith Everts in Houston, Texas.

Greg is survived by his wife, Jennifer; his son, Tommy; his parents, Jim and Gina; his brother, Jim(Kathy and Tristen); his aunt Sharon (Gale), his cousins, Debra and Gina; he is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Greg is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Len and Verona Everts; his maternal grandparents, Bill and Laura Smith; his father-in-law, Phil.

Greg our beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and of course our best friend, had an infectious friendly soul, always making the nearby person laugh and his friend; he would talk and listen to anyone. Greg had a great love for raising his son, Tommy. He also loved the game of baseball, his favorite team, the World Champs Houston Astros. He was a Big-Foot fan; a sci-fi stories fan; a Nascar fan; a Marvel fan; an X-Box-Call of Duty fan; and a Houston Texans fan. Greg also was a self-taught guitar player, loved any genre of music; he had a keen eye to build or draw anything; he was an avid reader, he liked the author, Jim Butcher. Greg also loved Italian food, always loved a good homemade lasagna or a bowl of spaghetti. Greg shared a long meaningful relationship of 26 plus years with his wife, Jennifer, they loved to travel, sit and talk anytime, anywhere and going to baseball games.

Greg will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
