James left us to be with the Lord on March 21, 2020.
Born in Houston on August 14, 1954 to G. F. and Frances Guen, he was the oldest of 5 siblings. Always curious and knowledgeable, he graduated from the University of Houston with an Accounting Degree and Texas A & M University with an Economics degree. After Graduation, James went to work at Texaco as a liaison between the IT and the Accounting group, where he worked for over 20 years. He then worked as an IT analyst at the Fort Bend County Voter Registration Group, where he assisted in the acquisition of the Electronic Voter Registration equipment that is still used today. He retired from Fort Bend County in 2016.
James loved being with people. Always fun-loving and upbeat, he hosted game nights, leading friends and family in playing board games and playing cards - especially bridge, spades, and poker (his favorite). He was an avid collector of coins, stamps and memorabilia, and he was a coveted trivia team member.
James is preceded in death by his father G. F. Guen and brother-in-Law James L. Woo, and he is survived by his mother, Frances Guen; his siblings Edward Guen, Karen Woo, Judy Guen, and Betty Anderson; and his 3 nephews.
