James Thompson

James L. (Jimi) Thompson, 30, of Cypress, TX, died Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at home. He was born November 27, 1986, in Johnstown, Pa. Jimi was the son of James D. and Kathleen M. (Felten) Thompson. Jimi graduated from Dallastown Area High School, Dallastown, PA, June, 2005. He attended Penn State University and the University of Houston where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English-Creative Writing in December, 2012. Jimi held positions in the oil and gas industry in Houston at J. Connor Associates, Quest-Halliburton, and most recently at Packers Plus Energy Services. Jimi is survived by his parents, James and Kathleen Thompson of Cypress, TX, his sister Melissa Felten, Coatesville, PA, and brothers Brian and Christopher Thompson, both of Cypress, TX. He also leaves behind his maternal grandmother, Margaret Felten, Blairsville, PA, and numerous Uncles, Aunts, and cousins. The family plans a private memorial service in Pennsylvania.
