Jason Kendall Hudgens died on August 13, 2016, in Sugar Land, Texas, at the age of 61. Jason was born on May 27, 1955, in Dallas, Texas. He spent much of his childhood in Beaumont, where he graduated from Forest Park High School. Soon after, he moved to Houston, where he spent six years working for Dresser Industries, and thirty-three years working for NRG Energy (formerly HL&P). Jason was deeply compassionate and had an innate ability to connect with others. His unfailing kindness and warm sense of humor touched everyone who knew him. To his children, he was a devoted father; to his parents, a loving son; to his siblings, a wonderful brother; to the love of his life, a trusted partner; and to his colleagues and others, a good friend. He is survived by his children, Mandy, Sara and Jesse; his parents, Kenneth and Marilyn; his brothers, Steven and Brian; and his partner, Therese Roig. "The journey is everything, every moment of every day. Relish it, relish it with passion and enjoy it." A memorial service to celebrate Jason's life will be held on Friday, September 9th, at 3:00pm at the Unitarian Fellowship of Houston, 1504 Wirt Road, Houston, TX 77055. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network online at pancan.org/donate or by mail at 1500 Rosencrans Avenue, Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.
