Jerry Lee Jares passed away at Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 in Humble, TX. He was 59 years old. Jerry was born on March 10, 1958 in Chickasha, OK to his parents, Bernard and Rose Jares. Jerry lived out his childhood in Pecos, TX and spent his adulthood in various cities, including Dayton, TX and Baytown, TX. Jerry was a big-hearted friend and father. He was always lending a helping hand and willing to go the extra mile for those that he loved. He enjoyed music, dancing, carpentry, cooking, and being around his friends and family. Jerry also spent many years working in the oilfield. Jerry is survived by his long-time companion and spouse, Jeannie Stephens. His daughters Jeannie Jares; Kelli Naranjo-Wiechman; Kimberly Ramirez; Ashley Jares; his son Matthew Jares; his sisters Debbie and Yolanda; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Bernard Jares; his mother, Rose Jares; and multiple brothers and sisters. Jerry wished to be cremated without a viewing or service. His memorial service was held on Friday, March 24, 2017 in Dayton, TX. Any donations to cover cremation costs or to help support his spouse may be made out to Ashley Jares.
