Jerry Eugene Langford, 74, of Houston passed away at his home surrounded by his family Monday, October 24, 2016. He was born August 31, 1942 to Floyd Eugene Langford and Louise Faye Lewis Langford in Houston, TX. Jerry was preceeded in death by his parents; his step-father, Austin Gloyd Hart; and his son, Jerry Wayne Langford. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Carol Ann Langford; his sister, Linda Ragusa and her husband Joe; his daughter Jackie McDonald, her husband Jay, and their children, Jayson, Michael, Christian, and Jordan; his daughter Joyce Bald, her husband Anthony, and their children Joshua, Jeffrey, and Mathew; his daughter Joanna Langford and her children, Jerry, Robert, and Dallas; his son, Derick Smith, his wife Jennifer, and their children, Gavin and Adison; and his daughter, Suzanne Grisham and her husband, Gregg; 12 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and his two companions who he loved to the end, Maxx and Sophie. Jerry was saved and baptized at the age of 10 at the First Baptist Church of Sweeny and attended school in Sweeny where he played football for the Bulldogs. He loved football, traveling, old western movies, watching his grandchildren play sports, and he always looked forward to Sunday dinner with his wife and their family. Throughout his life he served as the President of the Pearland Dad's Club, the President of Pearland/Friendswood JCs, coached little league baseball and football for his son's teams, and refereed little league football. After Jerry retired from Cother, Inc. Air Conditioning and Heating, he and Carol spent their time traveling with family and friends to Canada, Hawaii, Alaska, Las Vegas and many, many other places. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 29 at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Webster, 420 Slossen, Webster, TX 77598.
