John Craig Froehlich went to sleep and woke up in the presence of his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at 12:30 P.M.
He was born on June 12, 1951 to Harold Froehlich and Helen Hubert Froehlich in Houston, Texas
John attended and graduated (69) from John H. Reagan High School where he met and married the love of his life, Marsha Alice Elliott. They were married July 30, 1971 and built a life together, which is still an example for others to aspire to today, raising 3 children and being Aunt and Uncle to many, many others.
John was a wonderful provider for his family, working tirelessly for Lyondell-Basell for over 30 years until his retirement in 2009.
He was a life long member of Messiah Lutheran Church, where he served in various positions, not least of which was in the LCC Comfort Dog Ministry as handler for Gabriel Comfort Dog, ending his service as church president, resigning this past year due to his illness.
John was an avid Lake Fork fisherman, enjoying many trips across many years with Brian Duplichain, and an avid Astros fan, but his greatest joy was being Paw-Paw to his grandsons.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 53 years & 8 months, Marsha, son, Kevin (Michelle) Froehlich, daughter, Alicen Froehlich (Randy Jean-Charles), & his pride and joys, grandsons, Mason Elliott & Braden Lee Froehlich, & Grayson Jean-Charles.
John is also survived by his brother, Harold (Kathy) Froehlich, and God-daughter, Rebecca Roznovsky Quinlan, and a whole passel of nieces, nephew, & great nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold & Helen Froehlich, and his son, John Craig Froehlich ll.
The family would like to give special thanks to Andrea Gnatch RN for her compassionate, loving-care during his last days on this earth at MD Anderson.
Pallbearers: Justin Froehlich, Jeffrey Froehlich, Stuart Ladner, James Padgett, Mical Padgett, Kyle Padgett, Gilbert Froehlich Jr, and Eric Allen
