Joyce Antrich

Joyce Neil Anderson Sloan Antrich, 80, passed away peacefully, April 29, 2023.  She was a loving and wonderful mother, wife, sister, and grandmother. Family was what gave her life meaning. She wanted nothing more than to spend time with those she loved. Joyce was born June 20, 1942 to William Taylor Anderson and Ethel Louise Baldwin Anderson in the small community of Columbiana, Alabama. She married early in her life and had three children, Deborah Lyn Sloan Coen (Mike), Francis Timothy Sloan and Adrienne Joy Sloan Strimple (Steve).

Joyce relocated many times in her life as part of a military family, then job related and ended up in Houston, Texas where she met the love of her life, Lee Antrich.  Joyce and Lee were married in 1995 and were inseparable for over 20 years.

Joyce was proud of her membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution and interested in her family genealogy.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ethel Louise Baldwin Christie, father, William Taylor Anderson, and son, Francis Timothy Sloan.

She is survived by her husband, Lee Antrich, daughters, Deborah Coen and Adrienne Sloan and their spouses, grandchildren, Christopher Michael Coen, Samuel Thomas Coen, and Madelyn Joy Sloan Kinane, brother, William Christopher Anderson (Deborah), stepdaughter, Tiffany Antrich Crawford and step granddaughter, Athena.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to The Houston American Heart Association.
