Katherine Sheeon

Katherine Ann (Campbell) Sheeon of Katy, Texas passed away peacefully at home with her loving family on Sunday, February 4, 2018, at the age of 74. Born in Cannonsburg, PA, to Robert Wayne Campbell and Margaretta Rebecca (Wonders) Campbell, she grew up in McDonald, PA before moving with her parents to Houston in 1959. She graduated from Spring Branch High School in 1962. After graduation she traveled with her parents overseas and later returned to Texas to begin working at Gulf Oil as a secretary, Shortly thereafter she enjoyed her time as a stay at home mom which allowed her to be involved in her daughter's school and extracurricular activities. However, more than anything in the world, she loved being a Grandmother and was affectionately named "Kibba" by her grandchildren, later to be known as "Kibba" by all. Over the years she attended many basketball games, choir concerts, school plays and church programs. In 2016 she retired from her position in commercial property management and enjoyed spending more time with her grandchildren and volunteering her time reading with first grade students at a local elementary school. She loved spending time with family, was always up for an impromptu game night, last minute adventure, or any kind of family gathering. She loved to cook for her family, extended family and friends and always had a smile on her face and a song in her heart. Kathy is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sister Carole Louise (Campbell) Williamson; her daughter Linda Sheeon Jordan and husband Keith, children Brody, Rebecca, Shelby and Riley; step-daughter Susan Sheeon Armstrong, children Justin and Kelsey. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. A memorial service for Kathy will be held Friday February 9, 2018 at Tallowood Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m. with a reception immediately following thereafter.
