Lonnie Alwyn Gidden

Our family would like to thank God Almighty for giving us a wonderful Husband, Father, and friend. A better man you'd be hard pressed to find. Tough, rugged, loving, and caring. Without whom his sons wouldn't be the men they are today. Peacefully on the evening of November 22 with his beloved family by his side, Lonnie Alwyn Gidden passed from this life to the next. Our family is comforted knowing that he is now in the loving arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. A dedicated husband married in 1970 to Patricia Jones; built a life together and raised a family. Through good times and bad in sickness and health only in death did they part. The proud owner of Gidden Service Company for more than 30 years where many of his customers became his good friends and family.  Our father enjoyed hard work, providing for his family, and setting a good example for his sons.  Proverbs 13:22 says a good man leaves an inheritance for his children's children and he did just that. Providing for his wife, two sons, and a daughter in law and three beautiful grandchildren that he unfortunately never got to meet long after his death. We would like to express thanks to the countless individuals at Methodist Hospital but especially the ICU staff that aided in the life support removal process. God bless ALL of you. Reunited with loved ones he lost in the past we take comfort in knowing that one day we will see him again. We love you Dad, rest in peace.
