Margaret Braddock

Margaret Louise Braddock, 92, of Pasadena, TX, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2022, surrounded by loved ones.

Margaret was born on February 25, 1930 to Andrew J. Foster, Jr. and Carrie Preston Foster in Mansfield, LA.

She married Ralph Lawrence Braddock, Sr. on February 9, 1951. Ralph and Margaret raised their 4 children, Ralph Jr., Kathy, Karen, and Robbie in Pasadena.

She was a devoted wife and mother, raising her children and taking care of her husband and household.  In 1975, she went to work at Southwestern Bell until her retirement in 1990. Margaret adored spending time with her large family and extensive groups of friends. She also enjoyed traveling all over the United States and Canada.  Margaret was very active at church and in the community. She spent her time volunteering at the Christian Life Center, working with United Methodist Women serving lunch to Pasadena Rotary Club, reading and listening in the weekly HOSTS program for school children, exercising with First Fitness, and actively participating in the Friendship Class along with many other adventures.

Margaret was preceded in death by Ralph Sr., Ralph Jr., brother Lee Peterson, and son-in-law Gary Reilly.  She is survived by daughter Kathy Nisly, husband Verlon; daughter Karen Reilly; son Robbie, wife Kathryn; 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 3 siblings: Joyce Webb, Jack Foster, and Claudia Gomez.

There will be a small family graveside service.  A Celebration of Life will be held at First United Methodist Church Pasadena (now renamed Revive), 1062 Fairmont Parkway, Pasadena, Tx 77504 from 2-5 PM on Friday, March 18.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your local animal rescue group in honor of Margaret’s life-long love for animals, particularly her beloved cats.
