Marjorie Purswell

Marjorie Ann Purswell of Houston Texas passed away on Sunday July 5, 2015 at the age of 92. She was born in Austin Texas on April 23, 1923 to Edwin and Matie (Patterson) McKellar. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Ray Purswell, and survived by her son Kenneth Purswell, as well as numerous other loving family members and friends. Marjorie graduated from the University of Texas in 1945 and began her career as an Accountant before becoming a loving Wife and Mother. She had a passion for serving her community, traveling, the outdoors, especially spending time on the coast. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 11:30 am. in the Chapel of First Methodist Houston - Westchase, 10570 Westpark Dr. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service for visitation. Interment will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
