Mark Gregory McDonald August 23, 1979 - May 14, 2017 Mark was born in Red Bank, N.J. and his 1st home was on NWS Earle in Colts Neck, NJ. He lived in West New York, NJ until age 6 and loved playing outside and living in the city was in his blood. Mark's family moved to Houston in 1985. He played Little League and AYA football and was his team's own refrigerator appliance. Mark began playing bass guitar at 10. His first song was Guns and Rose' Sweet Child of Mine. This began Mark's lifelong love of music. He played the bass in Austin HS' Jazz band and with numerous other bands, and his musical talent was well-respected by Houston musicians. Mark worked in data discovery for computer forensic companies in Houston, NYC, and Chicago. Mark has many friends and made an impression on all of us. He was fun-loving, fearless, and had such a zest for life that was broken by the shame of his addiction. Mark is survived by his parents, Timothy and Cindy (Gunther) McDonald of Houston; brother and sister-in-law, Travis and Stacy Pearland; nieces, Lyla and Laurel, Pearland; son Austin, Oklahoma; aunts, uncles, and cousins in New Jersey, Indiana, South Carolina, and Florida.
