Merle Muckelroy

Merle Mayo Muckelroy, 75, of Houston, Texas, passed away Monday, March 27, 2017, after a long battle with cancer. Merle was born in El Campo, Texas, on January 27, 1942, to Jesse Howell Muckelroy and Dora Celeste Fleming. Merle was a graduate of St. Thomas High School. He was a salesman and entrepreneur who was best known for his homemade pickles. Merle is survived by son Stephen and wife Betsy, son Scott and wife Annette, daughter Kristin Salak and husband Jeff; grandchildren Justin, Brenton, Nika, Jessi, Stevi, Celeste, Sophia, Belle, Peyton, Blake; great grandchildren Everett, Cheyenne, Neil, Tristan, Eva, Silas, Reese, Gavin, Colby, Sutton. He was preceded in death by his mother Dora Celeste Muckelroy, son Ronald, and daughter Sandra. Funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at St Patrick Catholic Church 4918 Cochran St. Houston, Texas 77009 . Brief gathering in the Parish hall immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can made to St Patrick Catholic Church.
