Michael Lee Epps was born February 12, 1943, in Freeport, Texas, the son of the late C.L. and Hope Jamison Epps.
Mike worked for Western Electric, a Bell Telephone company, for many years. He also worked in the oilfield service business for several years and finished out his working days as a commercial electrician. He enjoyed fishing, reading, and was skilled at making knives. Another passion he was revered for was his Texas smoked BBQ. Mike loved the outdoors and he loved his family.
Mike died on April 14, 2020, in Houston, Texas, of complications of heart disease and diabetes. He is survived by his brother John Patrick Epps (Pat) and wife Vivian, a nephew Caleb Epps and wife Jaime, a niece Arian Epps Elliott and husband Rusty, and five great nephews and nieces...Douglas Epps, Vera Epps, Tytus Elliott, Lincoln Elliott, and Jade Elliott. He is also survived by numerous cousins across the country and his 98 year old uncle, Rex Epps and wife Bonnie, of Lake Jackson, Texas.
Due to Executive orders in the State of Texas limiting public visitations and services regarding the Coronavirus, a private Memorial will be held at a later date.
