Age 65, passed away on March 23, 2018. He was born on May 7, 1952 in Houston, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hazel and Willie Wayne Campbell. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou; brothers, Larry and Lynn; sister, Kathy; sons, Jeffrey and Shawn; daughters, Chrystal, Magan and Michelle; stepson, Josh; 15 grandchildren; numerous uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces. Mickey was a very proud United States Marine serving in the Special Forces Operations Unit. He was awarded two Purple Heart Medals for his courage and valor during the Vietnam War. He played football and participated in rodeo events at Cy-Fair High School. After the military, became well known for his singing talents in Lubbock, Texas. He loved fishing, fast cars, dancing, dominoes and spending time with family and friends. He had many professional skills including sheet metal fabricator, steel building construction, draftsman, school and mall security, and pipeline inspector. He owned and operated auto paint and body shops as that was his favorite professional skill. A limb has fallen from our family tree, but he would not want us to grieve for him. He would want us to remember the good times, his laughter and songs. The good life he lived while he was strong. He would want us to know that his mind is at ease. He would want his children to continue his traditions so his legacy lives on. He will be missed dearly our special loved one.
