Nathaniel Lewis Bodden Jr. (Little Lewy) was born in Mobile, Alabama on September 5th, 1949 and passed away in Houston, Texas on March 27th, 2021.
He went by his middle name, like his father and brothers.
His parents were Nathaniel Lewis Bodden and Della Venera Nelson Bodden (Snooky) of Mobile, Alabama. TK
Lewis attended St Thomas Catholic grade school in Chickasaw, Alabama and high school at McGill Institute in Mobile, Alabama. He also attended Yance State Junior College in Bay Minette, Alabama for one and a half years. He was on the dean’s list. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and trained in Biloxi, Mississippi as an aircraft navigation equipment repairman and served at the Charleston Air Force Base in South Carolina for three years and three months in the 437 AMS working on C-141 and C-5A aircraft. After this, he served 18 months in the Alabama Air National Guard In Birmingham working on RF-4 aircraft. Lewis returned to Mobile from Charleston, South Carolina and worked at the shipyard in Pascagoula, Mississippi LHA-1 and DD-963 ships. He then worked at the ADSCO shipyard in Mobile, Alabama as a designer. At ADSCO he worked on the design of semi-submersible drilling rigs and the pipelay barge SEAMAC.
Lewis leaves behind many loving family members and friends.
