Patricia McLaughlin Marco

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia McLaughlin Marco, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. Patricia passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family after a life well-lived and deeply cherished.

Born on March 18, 1939, to Robert McLaughlin and Elizabeth Jane McLaughlin, Patricia grew up in a lively household with her siblings Timothy, Mike, Kathy, and Maureen. She is survived by her brother Mike. She attended Sacred Heart High School before graduating from Barat College, where her strong spirit, kind heart, and infectious laugh left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

In 1960, Patricia married the love of her life, Robert J. “Bob” Marco, and together they built a beautiful family rooted in love, laughter, and joy. She was a devoted mother and survived by: Michael Robert Marco; Timothy Patrick Marco and his wife, Barbara; Christopher Neil Marco and his wife, Susanne; and Kelly Marco McQuerry Henderson and her husband, Neil Henderson.

Patricia’s pride and joy were her grandchildren, who knew her as a warm and loving presence: Christopher Marco, Patrick Marco, Justin Marco, Megan Marco Martin, Sydney Marco, Madison Marco, Christopher Jordan Marco, Julia Marco, John Marco, Ethan McQuerry, Aidan McQuerry, and Lachlan McQuerry. She was further blessed with great-grandchildren Owen Marco, Olivia Marco, Robbie Marco, Amy Marco, and Luke Marco, whose laughter and love brought her immense happiness.

Patricia lived a life full of passion and dedication. She had a deep love for horses and tennis and was an avid player and fan. Watching her children compete in equestrian events and tennis tournaments was one of her greatest joys. Patricia was an enthusiastic bridge player and cherished the camaraderie of her bridge group.

Her love for her family extended to her community. Patricia was a tireless volunteer, dedicating her time and talents to her children’s schools and her church. She chaired numerous fundraising galas, where her leadership and grace shone brightly, inspiring those around her.

Patricia will be remembered for her radiant smile, her warm and welcoming nature, and her infectious laugh that could light up any room. She embodied love, kindness, and generosity, leaving behind a legacy that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Patricia’s spirit will forever remain in the lives she touched. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

 Her family will be having a private celebration of Patricia’s life.
