Rachel Bates

Rachel June Bates, age 92, joined our Lord on Thursday, December 29, 2017 in Katy, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bruce D. Bates Sr, her younger siblings, Lorene Anderson Washington, Ginny Anderson Domask and Bill Anderson. She is survived by her children. Bruce D. Bates Jr and Brad Reese Bates and grandchildren William Bates, Christine Bates, Shannon Bates Smith and Sarai Bates Ivanov and great-grandson Jayden Bates. June was born on June 12, 1925 in Buna, TX, to parents Leonard and Hallie Wright Anderson June was a loving mother and a social active woman with many accomplishments who will always be remembered and dearly missed. At June's request to be eternally united with her husband, Bruce D. Bates, Sr., a joint funeral is scheduled for January 13, 2018, at 1pm at First Baptist Church of Buna, TX . The Baptist Church has lovingly offered to provide a luncheon before the services starting at 11:30 All are welcome to attend and celebrate June's life. Flowers can be sent to First Baptist Church Buna at 1155 Highway 62, Buna TX 77612 and in lieu of Flowers, If you would rather make a donation it can be made to First Baptist Church in Honor of "Rachel June Anderson Bates" for the Music Ministry.
