Raymond Dominic Trevisol of West Palm Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 6, 2017, at the age of 78, surrounded by his immediate family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born to parents Sidney and Yvonne Trevisol on July 2, 1938, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. He grew up as one of four children and attended St. Gregory High School after moving to Detroit, Michigan. In 1956, he married Joanne Laslo and had four children. He moved his family to Boca Raton, Florida, in 1970 to begin his extensive career with IBM from which he retired in 1999, just prior to the passing of his wife in 2000. He immersed himself in his hobbies of softball, enjoying the company of his teammates at Uncle Mick's Pub, playing cards and golf. A new interest in dancing brought together him and his cherished wife Renee, who he married on December 26, 2015. He is survived by his wife Renee; children Dawn Trevisol; Dean (Sandra) Trevisol; Lori (Jim) Davis; Jeff Trevisol; and Kim (Mark) Hansel; grandchildren Ryan (Maryna) Trevisol; James Davis; Kaitlyn, Kylie and Logan Hansel; great-grandson Jack Trevisol; sister Betty (Tom) McKenna; brother Wayne (Diane) Trevisol; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Jean (Don) Moylan. Ray died as he lived: a devoted, loving, loyal husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be dearly missed, but forever in our hearts. A private celebration of his life will be held at St. Helen's Catholic Church, Vero Beach, Florida on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (donate.LLS.org) or the breast cancer research charity of your choice.
