Richard William Voight III died suddenly at his home on July 26, 2018. He was born in Butler, NJ on April 5, 1965 to Richard William Voight, Jr. and Anastasia Cullinane Voight. He spent his early years in New Jersey and Ohio, before moving to Houston with his family in 1974. He attended the University of Houston and achieved a bachelors in Electrical Engineering in 1994. Throughout his professional career he perfected his skills working in the subsea cabling industry and had several patents to his credit. Richard loved spending time with his friends, and he leaves behind so many who will miss his friendly manner and sense of humor. His unexpected death has profoundly affected both his family and many friends. His best buddy was Braxton, his adored Labrador, who he enjoyed spending time with especially on Sundays at the dog park. He is survived by his daughter, Meagan Voight of Louisville, KY and his sister, Cindy Adams, of Houston. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Gabrielle Voight. A celebration of life is planned and details will be forthcoming shortly. Memorial contributions may be made to the Poodle Rescue of Houston (https://www.poodlerescueofhouston.org/) or the Spay/Neuter Assistance of Houston (https://www.snapus.org/). Braxton found his way into Richard's heart through the wonderful people at the Poodle Rescue (even though he isn't a poodle!). Please share your fond memories of Richard here on this site. He may be gone, but he will not be forgotten.
