Robert Wayne Acee

Robert Wayne Acee passed away peacefully on September 29, 2024, in Houston, TX. Bob was born on July 11, 1945, to Marino and Helen (Pat) Acee. He grew up near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Har-Brack High School.

Bob went to college at the University of Albuquerque in New Mexico and earned a bachelor’s degree in education while on a baseball scholarship. Later, Bob also earned a Juris Doctor law degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. During law school, he met the love of his life, Noreen Acee, who he married in 2000. They spent their lives happily together near Houston, Texas until Bob’s passing.

Bob primarily worked as a business owner, lawyer, and mortgage broker. He took over his father’s machine shop and steel fabrication business, M.P. Acee Company. He also worked as a senior attorney and Area Counsel of the Eastern Seaboard and U.S. Territories for the Small Business Administration, providing disaster relief. His job took him around the United States and its territories.

Later in life, Bob established AC Mortgage Professionals with his wife Noreen Acee. A theme of his lending and disaster-relief work was helping those in need access funding. He was generally regarded by friends, family, and co-workers as calm, kind, reasonable, and generous. Bob enjoyed jazz, sports, news, telling jokes, and golfing. He cherished his relationship with his son, Taylor Acee, and greatly enjoyed spending time with Noreen’s family and grandkids.

Bob is survived by his wife, Noreen Acee, son, Taylor Acee, brother, James (Jim) Acee, step-daughters, Melissa Dawson and Phoebe Gregg, step-grandchildren, Kody Shrader, Connor Roberts and Riley Dawson, and Olivia and Sophia Gregg, and step-great-grandchildren, Lexie and Chase Shrader. Bob is preceded by his parents, Marino and Helen Acee, and his brother, John Acee.
