Robert (Bob) Sidney Sweeney

Robert (Bob) Sidney Sweeney, beloved husband and father, was born September 20, 1933 in Houston, Texas. He attended schools in Houston ISD graduating from Lamar High School. He graduated from the University of Houston as a draftsman in 1955. He lived all his life in Houston except for the two years he served in the Army. He worked in the photo reproduction department while stationed in Korea. Bob was an electrical draftsman for Tenneco Oil and Gas and later as an electrical designer for M.W. Kellogg. Bob was a member of the Christian church since his childhood. He shared his love of science and science fiction with his children. Bob passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 31, 2024 in Alief, Texas at the age of 90.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon Earl, Sr., and Ollie Mac (Butcher) Sweeney and his brother, Vernon Earl Sweeney, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Martha, his daughter, Michelle, and his son, Steven.
