Robert Bridgeman

June 30, 1951 — July 8, 2021

Robert Eugene Bridgeman was also known to his family as “Paw Paw”, “Uncle Gene” and “Mean Gene”. Gene peacefully entered eternal rest on the 8TH day of July 2021.

Gene Bridgeman was born in Houston, Texas on June 30, 1951. He was the oldest son of Robert and Elaine Bridgeman. Gene graduated at Northshore High School and became a Maintenance Engineer for several big buildings throughout Houston, including The Four Seasons Hotel where he stayed for several years. He was married to Donna Rae Cole on June 24, 197_, they had only one daughter, Heather Renee Bridgeman. Gene celebrated his last birthday at 70 years old on June 30, 2021, in the hospital.

Gene loved to bowl with his wife Donna, they were on a bowling league with lots of friends. He loved to coach his daughter when she played softball and basketball, and even coached a boys basketball team with his neighbor just for fun!  Gene and his wife Donna, loved to drive and look at the countryside, so much so they purchased an RV to take their Grandboys on vacation to water parks around Texas. He lived for those Grandboys, and always came to most of their football, soccer, and baseball games. Gene loved to play with his Grandboys, he would go on super high water slides, ride 4-wheelers, and go on big roller coasters…until that one time he threw up and said he couldn’t do that anymore!

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Elaine Bridgeman, brother James Gordon Bridgeman, and brother-in-law Michael May.

He was survived by his wife Donna Cole Bridgeman until her untimely death on October 25th, 2021, daughter Heather Renee Ringley and husband Gregory Dwayne Ringley, sisters Debra Elaine Bridgeman and Brenda Kay Bridgeman May, and brother Frank Edward Bridgeman, many nieces, and nephews and only Grandboys, Teaghan Ringley and Korbin Ringley.

He will be dearly missed.
