Robert Kelly Casares, 31, passed from this life to the next on May 17, 2015. He was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident in Houston, Texas. Kelly was born at home on Oct. 7, 1983 at 2:42 a.m. into the loving arms of his proud parents, Robert and Karen Casares. He grew up in Missouri City, Texas, attending Elkins High School for two and a half years before moving to Corpus Christi and graduated from Ray High School. Kelly attended UT Pan American where he played baseball and graduated with a degree in Multi-Disciplinary studies. He played independent professional baseball with a few teams, including Edinburg Coyotes, Sioux Falls Canaries, Ft. Worth Cats and the Na Koa Ikaika Maui in Hawaii. He worked several years for the Houston Texans Grille. Approximately eight months ago, Kelly began a career in the insurance industry with Woodmen of the World. Kelly loved God, his family and a myriad of friends from all walks of life. Kelly had a passion for motorcycles and baseball. He also enjoyed karaoke, live music, watching TV with family and getting a bargain deal. Kelly is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray Casares Sr. (Popo), Garlan Mitchell (PaPaw) and Ina Mitchell (Granny). Kelly is survived by his parents, Robert and Karen Casares; brother, Casey and wife Jessica with nephew Charlie; grandmother, Leonor Casares (Mimi); aunts Laura Smith (husband Steve) and Shari Nelson; uncle Ray Casares (wife Celia); cousins, Sara Swift, Kara Rabon, Andy Rabon, Susie Hack, Bo Casares, Kristina Nelson and Cory Nelson; numerous second cousins; girlfriend Karen Rubio, and hundreds of friends.
