Robert A. (Bob) Swartz, Sailor, Storyteller and Business Consultant, Dies at Age 75. Bob Swartz, 75, born in Kulpmont, Pennsylvania, was son of the late Anthony and Elizabeth Swartz. Bob lived and worked in Pennsylvania, Ohio, South Carolina, North Carolina and Mississippi before moving to Texas in 1976. With a vast and diversified background of business knowledge and experience, he was a dedicated management consultant serving small business owners until his stroke in June 2008. Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and Uncle, Bob was known as a Christian, Sailor, Storyteller, and General "Expert." He made us laugh and cry, frustrated and happy; he was opinionated and strong willed with a huge heart, giving more material things than he had, as well as ongoing guidance and instructions to all. A tribute to Bob's life was created by daughter, Niki and can be found at http://happybirthdaydad2010.blogspot.com/ Bob is preceded in death by a baby daughter and daughter Linda Hardin, who helped with his care for 18 months. Survivors include devoted wife, Judith Holder Swartz and eight children and their families: Bob Swartz, Jr., Jeff Swartz, Laura Dellinger of Charlotte, N.C.; Lisa Swartz and Keith Swartz of South Carolina; Mark A. Saunders of Atlanta, Georgia; Marye Tilton of San Antonio, TX and Helen (Niki) Paul of Independence, Oregon; twenty Grandchildren and nine Great grandchildren. There will be no funeral service as Bob believed that those who cared for us were here while he was in his body. We thank special friends, Doug Terry and Terry Glenn, Tom and Jeani Chastain and all those from North Tampa Church of Christ and Jersey Village Church of Christ who continued prayers and expressions of care during the past difficult years. The family is grateful for the medical support of Dr. David Mouton and Dr. Grace Varas, their teams at Kelsey-Seybold and Seasons Hospice. In honor of his request, the family suggests any memorials be made to The Sunshine Kids Foundation, Houston, Texas.
