Richmond

Roy Glenn Langford was born in Borger, Texas on October 25, 1954. He passed away surrounded by his family on February 5, 2025 at his home in Richmond, Texas. Glenn graduated from McAllen High School and immediately joined forces with his father to create G & R Construction.

Glenn and Holly Jo Marshburn were introduced to each other by a family member in 1978, and it was love at first sight for the young couple. Glenn and Holly married 3 months after meeting, and soon began building a beautiful life together with the addition of Brooke Jo in 1979 and Bart Roy in 1982.

Upon completion of obtaining his irrigation license, Glenn decided to move his family to Houston, Texas and embark on a new business venture. This new life transitioned into the flooring business which Glenn very successfully advanced in for over forty years.

Glenn was active in his spiritual life beginning with the Braeburn Presbyterian Church to his current home at River Pointe Church at the Richmond Campus. Glenn was very committed to his family life, raising his children and grandchildren. Many friends and family members have been blessed recipients of Glenn’s woodworking skills to include sharing cutting boards, risers and fine crafted furniture.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Evelyn Langford and brother-in-law Gary Della Croce. Glenn is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Holly Jo Langford and his beloved children Brooke Langford Stone and Bart Roy Langford along with his loving companion Lindsey Hale, grandchildren Cooper Thomas Stone and Elly Jo Stone, sisters Texas Smith, Gwyn Krueger and Ann Della Croce.

Glenn will always be remembered as a “Man of Valor” to those who knew him including all his nieces and nephews. His demeanor was always calm. He was known to everyone as a brave man of integrity, honesty, laughter and love.

In lieu of flowers, you are welcome to donate to the Langford’s church, River Pointe Church- Richmond, in Glenn’s honor here https://www.rpc.me/give/ or to a charity of your choice.
