Sandra Lee Fullen DeSelms passed peacefully May 26, 2019 surrounded by loved ones after suffering a devastating stroke earlier this month. She was 78 years old.
Sandra was born in the Rio Grande Valley before moving to CA where she met and married her husband Roy DeSelms. They later moved to Rochester, NY and raised two children, Dena and Hans. Sandra loved antiques and jewelry and ran her own business doing estate sales. After retirement, they moved back to CA where Sandra went back to school to become a CNA and was a care giver for many years. She later went to school again to become a licensed massage therapist as she wanted to provide healing to others with her hands. Her business was called Healing Hands. Her later years were spent back in her home state of Texas living in Pasadena where she continued to grow her desire to heal others through her work at Ask God Ministries.
Sandra is preceded in death by both her parents and her beloved younger brother Arden Ray Fullen. She is survived by her dearly loved children Dena Renee and Hans Frederick, granddaughter Hannah Renee, daughter-in-law Rachel Howitt-DeSelms, sister-in-law Sharon Fullen, sisters Maxine Ducksworth and Maureen Wilson, many dear friends and brothers and sisters of Ask God Minitiries.
A memorial service will be held on June 20th, 2019 to celebrate her life at Arise Church, 2121 Genoa Red Bluff Road, Pasadena, TX 77505 @ 11:00am. Sandra was a colorful soul and loved color! Her family requests that friends consider dressing colorfully, perhaps in one of her favorites: purple, turquoise or red. In lieu of flowers, memorials to The American Stroke Association are appreciated.
