Sharon Queen

Sharon Godwin Queen, age 65 went to be with the Lord on July 8, 2019. She was born March 16, 1954 in College Station, Texas. Sharon was a loving mother and nurse, having earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Oklahoma and obtaining her Pediatric and Family Nurse Practitioner Certifications. Throughout her adult life, both personally and professionally, her focus was always on the children, particularly the underserved.

She is preceded in death by her father, Vernoy Godwin, and sister Kimberly Godwin White. She is survived by her mother, Martha Grider Godwin, her loving husband of 43 years Doug Queen, children Katherine Queen Dossinger and Jason Queen, grandchildren Charlotte and Marie, sister Gini Godwin Hudson, brothers Trey and Jon Godwin, along with numerous other family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church on July 25 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
