On the evening of October 29, 2018, the precious body of Sherilyn Culpepper Burnett succumbed to the devastating effects of Myelodysplastic Syndrome, but she fought valiantly until the end. Roy Burnett, her devoted husband of 32 years, fought right by her side. Sheri lived in the Bellaire/Houston area for most of her life and belonged to the original "Bad Boys of Bellaire" crew. She was an avid Rockets fan and thought everyone else should be too. She had an amazing green thumb and enjoyed showing off the many plants she resurrected from the dead. Most of all, Sheri loved to spoil others.
Sheri is survived by her husband, Roy Burnett; daughter Wendi Fabre and son-in-law Brandon Brookshire; son Todd Burnett; honorary son Tim Smith; step-son Edward Burnett; her beloved grandson Rudy Fabre; sister Amy Harrott; sister Jody Valentine and husband Paul Valentine; nieces Tonya, Ashley, and Sydney; aunt Jan Shult and husband Dick Shult; cousin Tracy McKernan and husband Joe McKernan and their daughter Bailey; sisters-in-law Pat Jensen and Martha Burnett. She also leaves behind many wonderful friends.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Sheri's life at a later date.
Her family would like to express their deepest gratitude to those angels out there who donate blood.
