Stephen Dylan Bartusiak

He was educated at elementary schools in Edinburgh Scotland, Houston TX, and Blakeslee PA. He graduated from Clear Creek HS and earned a B.S. in Biochemistry at the University of Texas at Austin in 2008. Steve was a science teacher at Scarborough HS in Houston for four years. He worked as a property manager for seven years.

Steve’s calling was as a teacher – dedicated to the craft of inquiry-based instruction with a touch of entertainment in the classroom. For a time, he did standup comedy in Houston and he was a master of card tricks. He was respected and well-liked by his students. He was a sought-after playmate by his nieces, nephews, and other children in his life.

Steve was predeceased by his sister, Skye, and mother, Helen. He is survived by his father, Don., and stepmother, Sheryl.

Private memorial services will be held in Pennsylvania in December and in Houston in January 2024.
